Training and Experience

Hope is a qualified Intimacy Director trained by SAG-AFTRA accredited Intimacy Directors and Coordinators (IDC NYC), training under industry leaders and pioneers. With IDC, Hope has 100+ hours of training, having completed the Intimacy Professional Accelerator Program, and their Certification Intensive Program (2025). IDC is one of only seven SAG-AFTRA accredited Intimacy Courses, ensuring the highest standard of work.

In support of this work Hope has completed over 50 hours of training in courses such as Consent Led Practices, Trauma Informed Communication, Anti-Harassment,  Advocacy, Bystander Intervention and Safeguarding, to name a few.

Hope is an adept head of department, managing the logistics and collaborative creation of intimate scenes of simulated sex acts and nudity/hyper exposure. She supports creative teams and liaises with multiple departments to ensure performer autonomy and fruition of creative vision.

Why hire an Intimacy Professional?

An Intimacy Professional works to advocate, collaborate and communicate with the creative and production teams in live performance/TV and film to support scenes involving intimacy or nudity.

They collaborate with the director and the actors to choreograph the intimate stories being told, supporting the relevant communication between actor, director, and wider team.

At the forefront of intimacy work is advocating for the wellbeing of actors telling these intimate stories, working within their boundaries and with consent forward practice to facilitate a safer space to create.

Is Hope the right fit for your project?

Hope enjoys exploring work that focuses on lesser heard voices that provokes an emotional response in audiences, and reflects the world back at us. She explores gender and sexual identity in her work, LGBTQA+ narratives and anything with a little bit of magic! With a consent forward focus, and bringing in her experience as a theatre making working with texts ranging from classic to musicals to contemporary, she brings joyful and intentional collaboration to her projects to ensure stories are told ethically and boldly.

Hope has experience working with professional productions, acting students and young people and tailors her quotes for work accordingly, so do get in touch to hear more.

Intimacy Directors with IDC ensures the highest standard of training as one of only seven SAG-AFTRA accredited courses internationally, and so Hope brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience of working in theatre.

Hope works all over the UK, and is based in Bristol. She loves connecting with new companies and practitioners so feel free to say hello below to start connecting.
